My neighborhood is so quiet that sometimes I forget I live in the US, but then I just now found out from my neighbors that the road closures a few days ago was due to some dude going on a several hour long shooting rampage where he fired multiple AR15s from an apartment complex roof at passing car, then got in a hour long shootout with police. It didn’t even make national news because his aim was so bad he didn’t manage to hit anyone. Also, for some reason he was offered bail.
