after my elderly mom had issues with her Windows PC being so slow, I just installed Linux (think it was Mint Cinnamon) and she honestly did not know it was even Linux with LibreOffice on. It had the start menu, Chrome browser, and a word processor, and she basically carried on. I did have LibreOffice on her Windows PC before though, as she was not paying for MS Word back then. So LibreOffice made that conversion easier.
