Hoping for some free advice in English law, and I'm aware that would worth what I paid for it but still...
If I was to take on a contract as an independent consultant operating as a sole trader, and a HMRC investigation later decided that the contract was actually disguised employment, who would be liable for employers NI? This client is trying to get me to indemnify them against that.
I don't think IR35 strictly applies because there's no intermediary.
Tempted to tell them to feck off but...
