"content": "I am not advocating censorship. I am advocating civility. it's not an exact parallel but why do we have norms of civility IRL? why don't we say if you want to speak in public anywhere, you should expect to be screamed over and called horrible names etc? because it would lead to less discourse. same thing here. one might say letting that happen IRL would lead to violence, but that's the fault of the responder, not the screamer. yet we try to deter the harassment.",
