A good question to ask is, do you think anyone setting up a democracy from scratch would want to copy your political systems?
Does anyone in the US think any other nation would want an electoral college to make sure that presidents are not directly elected?
Would any other country want to have a first=past-the-post system like in the UK, where a party can get 35% of the vote and have a massive majority and smaller parties are suppressed?
If "no" then why put up with these things?
