There is considerable overlap between (a) Those that believe that Trump is a serious threat to American democracy and (b) Those who refuse to take concerns about Biden's mental capacity seriously.
(For the record, I'm in camp (a) but not (b).)
My question for you is this: Even if you think the concerns about Biden are illegitimate, shouldn't the mere fact that many voters do think it is legitimate, coupled with the grave threat to American democracy that a Trump presidency represents, suggest to you that Biden should step down and be replaced by whomever is the most electable alternative?
Like if the concerns about (a) are not in bad faith, shouldn't the democrats nominate some extremely generic or extremely exciting candidate instead of Biden (e.g. Nikki Haley on the one hand or Bernie Sanders on the other) - basically just look at whomever is polling the strongest against Trump, because policy details don't matter when it comes to preserving democracy?
