This week the average price for standard (bifacial, monocrystalline silicon PERC) solar modules fell to a new record low of 9.5 US cents per Watt in normal markets.
I seriously remember in 2008 when a Watt cost $4.20, which is over $6 in 2023 dollars. Plus the modules would have been less efficient (less than 16% compared with today's ~23%), ie a Watt would take up more space.
The times they are a-changing.
