While a short-range look around the world suggests that chaos is increasing (and in pockets it does), a long-range perspective reveals that every epoch of societal evolution advances the available access to increasing degrees of justice.
Another way to say this is that the Gospel is advancing around the world, though often in almost unrecognizable guises. The Kingdom of God will not by stymied and the Gates of Hell will not prevail.
Technological advancement has often been the instrument of societal advancement. We might look at history as the dramatic results invoked by the wheel, ocean-going ships, the printing press, the Industrial Revolution, the Internet, and now by Bitcoin.
Seriously, Bitcoin is the Internet of Money, except it is intentionally designed to be resistant to control by centralized juggernauts of power. Bitcoin will change the world to the same degree, if not more, than did the Internet.
In order to understand what I am talking about you absolutely must invest 30 minutes of your life to watch the following video. It is the distillation of a 538-page book, so it's information-dense, but imagine the time discount you will receive! Furthermore it is graphically represented along the way, making it that much easier to consume and comprehend.
To understand what is happening in our world, one must understand what money is, how the monetary system works, how monetary systems have developed over time, and what is underway right now in terms of the next stage of the globally-realized increase in justice pertaining to exchange among humans and the communities they inhabit. This video delivers all of that. I urge you to set aside time to watch with intense focus.
Let me put this another way... Imagine if the American system of government (a Constitutional Republic) could have been brought into existence without a war. That is the scope and nature of the opportunity in front of us. You and I have the opportunity to become contributors to the next stage of relational evolution in a manner similar to the roles played by John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and George Washington. We cannot predict who history will remember but we can do our part anyway and let others tell the story(ies). This is no exaggeration, but you will have to watch the video to the end in order to understand.
Go and partner with God in the repair of the world by doing your part in your life. Cultivate your Garden of Faithfulness.
