Sadly, since it was made by nerds mostly for fun, Mastodon has not been as user friendly or as feature rich as may well have needed to be to grow popular — but there *is* a toe hold here of something worthwhile… I think. And maybe *that* can be grown.
But, whatever happens next, I’m not going to hide in the corner of the internet anymore. I don’t think we can afford to do that.
