I'm going to talk to you about the psychological effects of hopium on people who really save lives as a calling, a vocation, or a fucking job. I can do this because saving animals, fighting disease, and often having to extend that wing to clueless people too, was my job for years.
I'm talking about a mindset that is common in the demographic of lifesavers The people you turn to, the ones that really do save stuff while politicians flounce.
