So here's the thing about cybernetic implants. Just... why? It makes about as much sense as gluing your phone to your arm. Or implanting a prosthetic limb so it can't be removed for rest, repair or upgrade.
If machinery can be made to read and induce signals from the nervous system, why would it need to be inside the skin to do it? Wouldn't it be way less dangerous to make a system powerful enough to work when touched to the outside of the body?
