Viperfish were predatory deep sea fish in the Sea of Moving Ice. They hunted other deep sea creatures by luring them in with their bio-luminescence and then swallowing them whole. Many sages attempted to study these peculiar fish alive, but most specimens tended to die shortly after being captured.
