The stories emerging about the iPhone(s) recovered from the Alaska Airlines flight are, quite frankly, less amazing when you consider how quickly an iPhone hits terminal velocity once it's dropped. I'm not clever enough at math to figure it out, but it's a hell of lot less than 16,000 feet.
