Well... That's foolish. Get one asap. It's good for several reasons, no matter where in the world you are.
I can recommend several but off the cuff, ProtonVPN has a good combination of private email & vpn and that's a very good place to start.
They also have a free option that allows you to connect one device only, good for testing out.
