Random fact for you: Alder when cut has sap which oxygenates and turns red! It looks like it bleeds. This quality has led to Alder #trees being associated with folklore, superstition & the supernatural for thousands of years! Luckily I’m not a believer in hocus pocus. I didn’t fell this tree it blew down naturally across a path & I helped to clear it. 🌳
