When I get something from you from a shared relay, I send notification of that to all my relays. At least that's how I understand it.
Also, my profile includes all my relays. When I "follow" you I can add relays if there is no overlap already. Some clients now do a lot of this under the hood.
Weirdly it works.
A social media network was a poor usecase, since there is so much to compare to.
