The sort of character assassination Eris's mob are engaging in is exactly the sort of thing the fascists do to Black and Brown people who get killed by cops in the US. Stuff anyone would do if treated the same way. Often milder stuff. You basically have to be *perfect* or whatever is done to you is considered justified.
