The RSNO concert I enjoyed so much in the Festival was broadcast last night - I was out and didn't realise!
Wynton Marsalis's trumpet concerto and Lutosławski's concerto for orchestra were excellent. I thought the conductor, Elim Chan, was superb. And the RSNO showed they can swing, too!
I'll be sure to listen again - I might even give the Schoenberg in the middle another go...!
