The Democrats had the trifecta for 2 years and yet failed to truly protect the people we all know that Trump wanted to attack. There was also a lot of time before but the Democrats didn't even act for gay marriage till years after the Supreme Court did the work for them. The Democratic Party will always be behind what people believe because they are actually conservatives (in the proper meaning, status quo loving)
