Why they chop:
* Tree Roots Get Big - The buggers end up lifting/cracking concrete slabs, bursting pipes, and generally breaking stuff right under houses. Gets *very* expensive + disruptive at bad times
* Cost of Tree Pruning Is Expensive (+ gets worse each year) - They need pruning when strong winds snap branches or send them thumping the roof (yours or the neighbours)
