Out of the 1100+ slides I've scanned so far in this box, this majority are from the Edward and Dorothy Wainer estate. Dorothy passed away on September 1, 2022 and I suspect the family slides were sold or donated shortly after (as I purchased them in mid 2023).
Among the Wainer slides are about 200 or so of a trips the couple took to Acapulco. One trip was in 1965 as part of a much longer trip involving stops in South Dakota, San Francisco, and Southern California. The other one was in 1972 which I think was for a conference and possible purchase of a condo timeshare.
Anyway, here's a view of Acapulco from their April 1972 trip.
