I wrote a follow up about just that.
Decibels are a logarithmic measurement. Any decent reduction is exponentially less damaging to your ears and suppressors can lower that by like 30-40 dB, which is roughly the same benefit you get from hearing protection.
Respectfully, this is clearly not really something you have much knowledge about.
