i was out my back window just now smoking a cigarette and i heard the sound of a bee buzzing manically and i watched for a bit and saw there was a bumblebee visiting those dark orange poppies that grow like weeds around here

and at first i was like "only bees could be so cute to buzz their wings like this"

and then i realised, that it was agitating the pollen off the stamens and so they would fall onto the pistils (i think i remember the male and female part names right, might be back to front)

it's like, the bee wants the nectar, but he also does the nice thing and deliberately knocks pollen off to fertilize it

so super cute... bumble bees are so funny, i love watching them when i'm outside
