The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday is my favorite holiday of the calendar year.What Dr. King accomplished prior to being assassinated at 39 years old is continually astounding to me.
Despite rampant segregation, he earned a high school diploma, a undergraduate degree, a Masters in Divinity and a PhD in Systematic Theology. He lived with a purpose that was integral to his life in all ways. He married, established a home and raised four children — all before he turned 39.
