I like the StackOverflow "dantesque" image 😂
I use Linux Mint on laptops, and things are going smoothly.
(Use Win10 at work, and used MacOS too).
The situation is not anymore like decades ago (yes...) when I was plunging headfirst in alsa (or even OSS) drivers source code to get some audio working 🙂
But I completely understand your frustration... When things get really weird in a linux distro, with some badly supported hardware (or software), it's really bad !
