The ‘alleged’ ADD is false (maybe not at time or writing). In the fourth edition of DSM-5 (published in 1987) ADD was removed and ADHD got sub-types:
Inattentive
Impulsive/Hyperactive
Combined
I am very certain that I was misdiagnosed in my childhood due to this, as there were different criteria. Which is weird and annoying, as that happened roughly 15 years after the 4th edition of the DSM came out.
