Covid delays aren’t the only reason for long passport wait times in the US. Part of the issue is that more Americans want to travel internationally – and many are eager to do so post-lockdown.

In 1989, only 3 in every 100 Americans had a passport.
Today, that ratio is up 45 for every 100.
