All the “experimental proofs” of special relativity basically, once again, I’m not saying that special relativity is truth(tm), I’m saying that the observations do show that the happens-before relationship only makes sense locally, and with a definition of “locally” that converges to zero the more you look at it.
You can postulate that a general happens-before relationship could exist if you have an omniscient instantaneous observer, I’m not saying it’s impossible, but nothing points to it being a necessity, maybe there is, maybe there is not.
The point is that God knows if there is but we cannot, and -if- there is it’s only distantly related to our time perception.
As for retro-causality, at least one quarter of all quantum physics interpretations are about finding copes to make sure that we have a different explanation for what absolutely looks like retro causal effects whenever the wave/particle duality fucks with us, maybe one of those copes is true, but nothing truly important really is contingent on them being true apart from our mental comfort, God certainly isn’t.
