Beijing (Embassies) congratulated Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday, the winner of the US presidential election, Donald Trump, on his administration's ability to manage the differences between the two countries and peaceful coexistence. According to a statement issued by the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message to Trump after his election as President of the United States. Xi Jinping emphasized the need for the two countries to find the right path for cooperation in order to benefit both countries and the rest of the world. He pointed out that history has shown that China and the United States have benefited from cooperation in many cases and have suffered from confrontation. He said: 'I hope that China and the United States will work together to strengthen dialogue and communication based on mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and mutually beneficial cooperation, and manage their differences in a proper manner and expand their cooperation to the benefit of both sides.' Xi Jinping stressed that stable, strong, and sustainable relations between China and the United States are in the interests of both countries.
