That article makes it seem like you are trapped in your own instance here on Mastodon. That isn't my experience at all. You and I are on different instances, for example. I am also put off by the algorithm driven nature of bluesky. You may get to choose your algorithm, but it is still an algorithm. I like directly curating my feed. Lastly, Bluesky feels sterile and a bit cold.
