Actually, it looks like the Flamingo extension doesn't auto-sign my 'follow' events, and the reason why I see these new people in the feed is because the Coracle Social frontend probably assumes that I'll approve/sign the 'follow' event, so it shows me the feed filled with messages from people, who I tried to follow. In other words, Coracle doesn't properly handles errors (my guess).
Basically, there is still a bug with Flamingo, which shows me empty modals when I click a "follow" button.
There is also a weird logic implemented on the frontend that doesn't check whether a user has successfully signed the "follow" event.
