On Twitter, instead of taking notes in items that caught my interest, I used to retweet so others could get a sense of what I was paying attention to. There was never any intention of endorsement or agreement on what I was retweeting, just something that I flagged.
I stopped doing that on Twitter a couple of years ago because I no longer felt safe from the "algorithm", but it is different here on #nostr
