I use damus on macos, ios. notedeck on linux+nixos and android.
Apple has a nice integrated hw/sw ecosystem (airpod, airdrop, continuity framework, audio handoff between all my devices & tv). Their m2 chips are an amazing platform.
I also have a hardcore linux freedom stack when i need it (bitcoin node, lightning node, etc).
Best of both worlds. You don’t need to fight every battle.
Your desire for freedom is incompatible with iOS
