Folks, I just convinced my mom that mixing baking soda and vinegar to clean things doesn't work because the base (baking soda) cancels out the acid (vinegar) leaving just salt, water, and CO2 bubbles - but this is based on chemistry I haven't studied in almost 30 years and probably a youtube short, so please tell me I'm correct and did not lead my mom astray (we continued cleaning with just baking soda and water, no vinegar, and it seemed to work better).
