With shipments stopped & freight firms suddenly without work (laying off, or not employing drivers & handlers), and companies without goods, the tariff policy's effect on the US will be pretty clear.
But, even restarting things as they were will take a similar time (due to shipping times) but of course, that presumes Chinese firms want to restart shipments - in the lag they may have redirected supplies, but also may lose faith in even new orders being honoured!
