What do you do with your old computers?

Studies show that people upgrade their laptop every 3 - 5 years. Over time this adds up and I'm curious what most people do with their old computer when they upgrade.

Do you throw it away?
Toss it in the closet?
Trade it in? (Assuming you can)
Give it to someone else?
And if you are just having it sit on your closet, is there a reason youre holding onto it?
