inspired by a github question I just got, I will share one bit of wisdom from my many years in programming, which is when you learn a new language, library, framework, programming paradigm, whatever, **dont** try to make it look like your old way of working. Don't take the habits you had in some other framework and try to "port" them to the new approach. this can be tempting but it's a gigantic mistake that will have negative effects in the immediate as well as long term. Do it the new way.
