Firstly kids don’t use Facebook, and on there it’s the adults that need supervision.
The Instagram controls seem to have been introduced about 2 years ago, but who knew. 🤷♂️
If you are setting up a new account you might see them, but for an existing account it’s not easy to go back to them and reset it when the kids have been using the app for years.
