I have a very old android tablet (2012) that isn't really good for anything but playing locally stored music anymore. it would be a shame to throw it away only because the battery is slowly giving out and becoming a fire hazard. I know how to remove the battery (ah, 2012!), but the tablet won't boot without it.
does anyone here know how battery detection works and how to circumvent it?
