This 10th gen (I think) 10.9" iPad is one of the best electronic devices I have ever used, when judged as a device for...I hate that word...consumption. I've diversified my reading a lot since I got it as it's the first device I've had that truly makes reading PDFs easy. This is a big deal to me that goes beyond it being mere gadgetry. Also great size, not too heavy, beautiful display. To me it's like magic.
But taking notes is a bit clunky and it's generally not very good for writing on despite the very fancy Pencil Pro. And taking notes *while* reading a paper is pretty awful.
