Besides the fact that #COVIDIsStillHere , it is a leading cause of death in the United States (and elsewhere) and a major driver of alarmingly increasing rates of disability. On top of all that, people who've had COVID are four times as likely to develop other viral infections later. The culture around you is demanding you ignore it, but since when have tech nerds and #hackers taken marching orders from the mainstream? How much do you actually care about the health of your project if you're not taking steps to safeguard the health of the people working on it?
