I’ve seen this movie before… When you are building something brand new, this is what happens:

UX people tell you it’s not inclusive.
Security people tell you it’s insecure.
Bean counters tell you it’s too expensive.
Investors tell you there is no business model.
Incumbents tell you they’ve already built it.
Governments tell you it’s illegal.

If you dig deep into the motivations of all these parties, what they are really saying is that they want control and you should be seeking their permission to build something new. Most innovators capitulate to one or more of these parties because there is a point of control (gatekeeping) that they cannot overcome.

For the first time in my storied career, with #nostr I don’t have to ask anyone’s permission to build what I am building. No turning back.
