I didn't know dialog images were one, but now I do, thanks! Other places include menus and pop up buttons and segmented controls.
You can use other means to generate different colored variants version but they are less convenient. For example SwiftUI can render a view as an image, which you can feed to the dialog. There are probably ways to do it via UIImage too.
