Did it last winter and every winter before that when money was too tight for warmth, has the added benefit of keeping you out of well intentioned (I admit) "warm spaces" where you can share colds and viruses with other half-frozen people. This is not a small thing. I don't get sick in winter and have that to cope with that on top of everything.
