I’m exploring ways to commemorate bitcoin blocks.
We’ve all seen the beautiful mempool.space block visualizations, whereby transaction vB determines size of square, and fee determines color
I need a script which determines the position and size of circular markings, representing the transactions within a block:
- input bitcoin block number, spacing in mm
- retrieves block information
- determines possible layout of transactions/markings
- Block will be a 6 sided cube, with 5 sides available to show markings
- markings will be made with an angled bit such that deeper bit plunges result in wider, circular markings for each transaction
- efficiently determine a possible layout of markings for each of the 5 sides, such that dead space is minimized.
- ideally, free form scattering of markings as shown in picture, rather than obvious matrix arrangement
- script output: coordinates and size of each marking, for each of 5 available sides, such that all transactions are appropriately represented.
- Output includes SVG representation of markings for each of 5 sides
