Your 5x daily prayers is your main duty on this earth. Only as long as you fulfill your obligations to Allah, can you worry about your worldly troubles.
Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The two Rak'ah before the dawn (Fajr) prayer are better than this world and all it contains." [Riyad as-Salihin 1102]
This is an obvious deduction if you truly believe in the hereafter, yet is so far from what our actions demonstrate. What do you possibly stand to gain from your job that is worth more than everything in this world? If someone said they were risking getting fired from their 6 figure job because they were trying to simultaneously deliver GrubHub, your would call that stupid. But if you are risking the afterlife because you are too embarrassed to speak to your boss about praying, how are you any better? There is nothing any employer can offer you that will make it worth missing a single prayer, and you probably don't have to anyways.
“And whosoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty).” [At-Talaq 65:2]
Put the important matters first, and the rest will sort itself out. If you try to optimize for the world, you will get neither.
