Not bad advice. I've always marveled at how NYC contains its own self-criticism: among the most valuable real estate in the world they build a huge park and guard it as essential, but no one in a rural area ever feels the need to build a fake city.
Try to exist in more remote areas for 3-6 months at a time every year.
It's a stark reminder that you need all the internal combustion things, and spares.
Gas is life, it maintains life, it saves lives.
City living is fake. It's fun and all, but you are just outsourcing all the things you think you hate to outside the city to be brought back to you packaged and triple washed.
