People will and can (in their own minds) normalize anything. Rape, molestation, torture, murder, genocide, etc. It doesn't matter how illogical it is. How even the people who think it can and will be hurt/killed from it. It's always possible and sometimes probable for people to normalize it.
To get used to it. And then...forget/dismiss it. I think reform will happen. That or total destruction. But it won't happen...
