as long as non-custodial is a viable option and gets easier over time, that is the most important to me. with ecash you are kinda locked into the mint if we start building ecash interfaces on everything, because it doesn't make much sense to run your own mint on top of your lightning node.
i still think ecash is great for corporations and small communities, then you don't have to worry about the trust issues, swapping tokens, etc.
lightning is built for the internet, ecash is built for use within trusted communities. different use cases imo.
