With RaspiBlitz you run the whole data section including Blockchain on external drive or a proxmox virtual disk. For backup you could snapshot the virual disk but full VM dump would be very big. For future relase we plan that the important data can run in its own virtual disk seperated from blockchain data so that its more effective to update and can be run on higher redundancy zfs pools then blockchain data that can be replicated in a crash. HA experience is still something I would like to collect more experience on.
